Our Take on Mobile Reading

We have been busy in the lab reimagining long-form narrative storytelling for mobile for our recently announced first spinout project, Bound. It’s a really exciting time as we believe that over the next five years the book publishing market, which we like to refer to as “long-form content,” will change radically.

Taking on the World of Fiction

Bound plans to shake up how people think about prose fiction. It will offer a unique format for prose fiction specifically with the mobile reader in mind. We aim to provide a new type of mobile experience for busy fiction lovers with an easy to engage episodic prose fiction format via short sessions, in-depth companion material, and integrated community features. We are already testing the app with select users and the feedback is incredible.

The Bound Team

It’s worth noting here that Bound will become the primary focus for most of the echoseven labs team for a while. We believe we can create something very special. Bound founder and echoseven labs partner Matthew Hannus will become CEO of the new company. We will be announcing some world-class additions to the Bound team in the coming weeks. Oh…Bound is hiring.
